Webster Area wrestler returns from tournament

After qualifying for the prestigious Super 32 tournament, Webster wrestler Haeden Jorgenson traveled to North Carolina and competed against the best youth wrestlers Oct. 12.In the tournament, Jorgenson won his first match by fall, but lost his second and third matches by one point each, he said.

Bearcats cross country runner qualifies for state as season closes with conference and regionals meet

Webster Area Bearcats hosted their last two meets of the season at the Webster Golf Course with the Region 1A meet taking place Oct. 16 and the Northeast Conference meet commencing Oct. 10.

Bearcats volleyball slay Titans in bounce back win

Traveling on the road to face off against Leola/ Frederick Area Titans was the Webster Area Bearcats Oct. 15. The Bearcats prevailed over the Titans in a three set sweep. The victory of Leola/Frederick comes after the team made adjustments after a loss against Northwestern Oct.

Webster Area football unable to capitalize against Deuel

Webster Area Bearcats hosted the Deuel Cardinals Oct. 11. Webster Area lost the game with a final score of 0-21, making it their third consecutive shutout loss. Head coach Tyler Wagner said the team was unable to capitalize on opportunities to score despite moving the ball down the field.
