Groton Area football wins in double overtime thriller

Groton Area Tigers faced off against Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers Oct. 4. The contest was a back and forth affair with the Tigers prevailing in a double overtime victory which ended in a 29-23 score.After the double OT victory was secured, Groton Area Tigers’ record improved to 4-2 on the season.

Bearcats volleyball cruise past Wambdi in three set sweep

Webster Area Bearcats hosted Tiospa Zina Wambdi Oct. 8 at the Webster Armory. Bearcats made quick work of the Wambdi sweeping them in three sets.In the contest against Tiospa Zina, the Bearcats won the sets with scores of 25-18, 25-10 and 25-14.

Bearcats overcome battle with Bulldogs in volleyball match

Hosting the Milbank Bulldogs at the armory Oct. 1 was the Webster Area Bearcats who were looking to secure another victory in their season. During the tightly contested game, the Bearcats were able to win in four sets.

Mustangs football shut down Wolves in dominant football performance

Wa u b ay - Summ i t looked to extend their winning streak to two with a match up against the Wilmot Wolves Sept. 27. The Mustangs ended up dominating the Wolves with a score of 52-12.As the season started for the Mustangs it appeared to be lost as they opened up with four straight losses.
