Mustangs stampede over Pheasants in homecoming football game

Waub ay - Summi t Mustangs squared off against the Redfield Pheasants Sept. 20 for their homecoming contest. The Mustangs won the game handedly with a score of 38-0.As the homecoming contest commenced both Waubay-Summit and Redfield entered the game with 0-4 records.

All American Saddle Club

All American Saddle Club hosted a double judged horse show Sept. 15 at Day County Fairgrounds. The final show for 2024 was judged by Kristen Gonsoir, Ferney and BJ Peterson, Clear Lake. Names are in order of place.

Bearcats football utilizing bye week to reflect on season

Webster Area Bearcats started the football season with a 1-3 record. After a blowout loss against Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Sept. 13 which saw the Bearcats lose 12-50, the bye week gives the opportunity to recharge, refocus and recalibrate, according to head coach Tyler Wagner.

Knights slay Mustangs volleyball in three sets

Waubay-Summit Mustangs hosted Aberdeen Christian Knights at Waubay Sept. 24. The Mustangs lost the match in three sets. Adjustments will be necessary in order for the Mustangs to turn their season around, coach Shonda Holscher said.
