June 2 primary election produces governor runoff, GOP candidates for Day County Commission set

The June 2 primary election featured firsttime candidate victories in tightly-contested races and produced an upcoming runoff for the GOP’s gubernatorial nomination.In Day County, 46.53 percent of 2,029 registered voters cast a ballot. Statewide, voter turnout was 34.

Ole and Lena went to a revival meeting where an evangelist was conducting a very emotional service. Working up to a fever pitch, the preacher man exhorted the crowd: “All of you who want to go to heaven, step forward. Come up to the altar.”Fifty people came forward... everyone except Ole and Lena.
