At the end of May, Waubay received a donation of sand for their park. With this donation, Waubay was able to replace sand on the baseball field for their baseball, co-ed softball and pee wee teams, get a new sandbox for the younger kids and add more sand to the playground.

Day County students place fourth at National Land, Range and Homesite judging contest

The 2026 National Land, Range and Homesite judging contest was May 7 and Day County placed fourth in the 4-H range judging contest. A total of three states, seven teams and 27 individuals traveled to El Reno, OK to compete. The competition was split into two categories: 4-H and FFA.
