Bristol will dedicate new pool

Historic15 years ago June 20, 2011Webster voters had no qualms about taking the plunge to build a new swimming pool in a June 14 special election. By over a two to one margin, 467-216, voters said yes to a 20 year property tax opt out for a project that has a preliminary cost estimate of $2.
Webster Kiwanis donates $10,000 to the Webster Area School District. According to Kiwanis member Ken Roerig, this is the third of five donations Kiwansis pledged to make towards the school. Kwanis donates $ 10,000
A new sandbox has been built at the Waubay baseball field. With a sand donation from L.G. Everist Inc. Waubay was able to replace the sand on their baseball field and on the playground. According to Mayor Breienne Soldier, community members helped transport and haul the sand and also help build the new sand box. “It was a wonderful effort from the community,” said Soldier.
