Multiple accidents happen in weather event

Four accidents occurred in Day County Feb. 19. According to Day County Sheriff Jerred Schreur, these accidents took place throughout the day and no injuries were reported for any of the accidents. Schreur stated these accidents weren’t caused by anyone and it was just unfortunate weather and timing.

Effective Feb. 23, the Webster, Milbank and Madison Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will be temporarily closing due to staff shortages.
90-year-old Sonny Larson is a Day County resident currently living at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center. Larson has a wall full of his arts and crafts and pictures of his family. Hard work leads Larson to a satisfying life

Alvin Larson was born in 1935 and will be turning 91 in March. Although being named Alvin, he actually prefers his nickname, Sonny. Larson was given his nickname by his mother at a young age and he said he doesn’t exactly remember why she gave him it, but it’s stuck around his entire life.
