Pinke presents to students about achieving life goals

Webster Area School hosted presenter Hunter Pinke April 8 for an assembly about setting and achieving goals. Pinke first introduced himself to students and talked to them one on one as more classes walked into the gym.

11th annual Crawfish Boil a success

Webster Area School Superintendent Jim Block received the Ivan Dixon Administrator of the Year award. Block said he is a huge believer in extracurricular activities, not just sports, but everything. In his 25 years with Webster Area School he has supported all school organizations as he believes it’s one of the best ways for students to grow in a positive light. “There is so much to gain from extracuricular activities and it makes the kids happier,” said Block. Block accepts Administrator of the Year award

Webster Area School Superintendent Jim Block was presented the Ivan Dixon Administrator of the Year award during the State Student Council Convention banquet in Rapid City March 31. This award recognizes and celebrates leadership, dedication and excellence in school administration.

Webster Public Library hosts author meet and greet featuring her first publication

North Dakota resident Ashley Bosh came to Webster Public Library April 8 for an author meet and greet. Although not from Day County Bosh has several family ties to Bristol. Bosh stated her mom and brothers grew up in Bristol and she has other family members near the area.

WEBSTER – Approximately 80 municipal officials representing nearly a dozen cities gathered at the South Dakota Municipal League’s annual District 1 Meeting in Webster March 26. Leland Treichel, SDML President and Roscoe board president, discussed the strengths of the municipal league.
