Webster Area School holds staff contract negotiations

Webster Area School Board met in special session March 30 and held a three hour 40 minute executive session for staff contract negotiations after which no motions were made.The board’s next regular meeting will be April 13 beginning at 6 p.m.

Last June, Gavin Sannes and Addison Kuecker, two 2023 Webster Area High School graduates, were accepted to the Avera Abdominal Transplant Undergraduate Internship program in Sioux Falls at Avera McKennan Hospital.

Townships submit tax optouts to help maintain roads

Day County townships have been holding their annual meetings and preparing themselves for the upcoming year. One thing townships can do to prepare themselves financially when their dollars are short, is submit a tax opt-out. Several townships in Day County are going that route.

Grenville residents’ water temporarily shut off due to main break

An update to the water main break situation was discussed at the regular Grenville town meeting March 26. According to chairman Leon Herrick, two aluminum saddles were put on a hydrant that was spraying water and the water line was repaired, but WEB Water needed to come shut off Grenville’s water.
