Progress continues with demolition project at Webster Area School

Webster Area School Board met April 14 for their regular school board meeting. According to superintendent Jim Block, progress is moving along with the demolition. Two change orders were approved during the meeting.

Moody is recipient

Karter Moody, Groton is among Northern State University incoming freshmen who have been selected to receive the Dacotah Bank four-year scholarship for fall 2026. The scholarship supports full-time students pursuing programs within NSU’s School of Business and is renewable for up to eight semesters.

My brother Les, his son Dustin, and I recently embarked on a treasure hunt.We didn’t have a map like the Count of Monte Cristo, so there was a certain amount of random digging involved. Not by hand, of course.

False fire alarm at Webster Area School

Webster emergency sirens went off April 6 at 2:54 a.m. According to Day County Sheriff Jerred Schreur, Webster Area School had a false fire alarm.
