Local boy’s letter wins him a hunting hound

When seven-year-old Theodore Ure learned he was selected as a winner of the Great American Hound Puppy Giveaway Aug. 2, his heart grew so overjoyed he nearly shed a tear in the living room of his family’s Webster home.

Family and friends gather for reunion

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Pius X met July 31. Rita Mork opened the meeting with the flag pledge. Four officers, 13 members and one guest, Mary Whitman were present.Pat Hoverstadt read minutes of the May meeting and Karen Jaskulka the treasurer’s report.

Mystery solved: Donation trailer finds a new purpose in the community

With help from some community members, the mysterious trailer that was featured in last issue’s paper has been found and the story’s been figured out. Although the trailer is not a paper recycling trailer, this trailer is also being used for a good cause.
What was thought to be a paper recycling trailer, has been seen near the farmers market parking lot in Webster. A paper recycling trailer was in Webster a few years ago and after asking community members who helped with the trailer previously, no one was able to help identify the trailer. A unknown trailer appears in Webster

An unknown trailer has appeared in the parking lot where the farmer’s market is held. The trailer was thought to be a paper recycling trailer and after asking a few community members who have previously worked or helped with the last paper recycling trailer, the trailer now remains a mystery.

Jr. Websterian Club celebrates 75 years

Since October 1951, the Jr. Websterian Club has gathered in the homes of Webster women to share educational seminars, build friendships and give back to the community.Over the decades, the club has become a local hub for fostering lifelong connections among generations of ladies in the Webster area.

The Tails and Trails Club is a new 4-H group that started at the beginning of last year’s 4-H season, which is in October. According to club member, Mackenzie Atherton, the club was formed after a lot of kids showed common interests and wanted to form a group to help the community.
