Kumla dinner hosted by the Ryes

Marlyn and Cheryl Rye returned from visiting their son Mark, Jennifer, Miles and Carson Rye, granddaughter and husband Hanna, Alex and Brooks King, Simpsonville, SC. They visited their son Steve, Ela, Olivia, Delila, Milo and Roman Rye, Cape Coral, FL.
Bertha Bailey was born in West Virginia and moved to Sun Dial Manor about two years ago. Bailey loves all people, animals and nature; she enjoys being around them all. In Bertha Bailey’s 79 years of life, she said she has learned to love everything. Nature, people, animals – it didn’t matter to Bailey because she liked to find the good in any of them. Bailey was born and raised in West Virginia and had two siblings growing up.

First Communion held at Mankato

Progressive Reading Circle met with Nila Stewart as hostess. Connie Wagner introduced Heather Gaikowski, owner of a printing shop in Webster specializing in custom apparel including embroidery, screen printing and laser engraving. Next meeting will be April 16 at Hot Rod Garage, Webster.

Waubay School Board meet for negotiations

Waubay School Board held a special meeting April 8 at 5 p.m. The only item on the agenda was an executive session to discuss certified negotiations. According to business manager Marie Hlavacek, board members entered executive session at 5:01 p.m. and were out of session at 8.
