Mustangs put up a good fight at first event

Waubay/Summit Mustangs traveled to Clear Lake April 14 for the Pork Chop Relays. The boys varsity placed ninth with nine points and the girls varsity placed eighth with 21 points.

Groton Area places at first events

Groton Area track and field participated in the Gettysburg Battler Invitational in Gettysburg April10. The team dominated almost every event, having multiple first place finishes. On the boys varsity side, they scored a combined 84 points, taking first place.

Bearcats vaulter scores a new personal best placing third

Webster Area Bearcat pole vaulters traveled to South Dakota State University in Brookings to compete in the Scott Underwood Invitational April 6. Four athletes competed in the event. Jeron McCreary was the team’s top placer coming in at third and also scored his best vault of the season to date.

Bearcat golfers have high hopes for upcoming season

Even though it might not look it, spring is here and that means Webster Area School’s golf season is here. Currently, head coach Tim Lesnar said there are 24 golfers on the team and 18 of those golfers make up the high school team. He explained, its a young group made up of five girls and 13 boys.

Webster Area vaulters compete in Aberdeen

Webster Area pole vaulters attended the Dewey Donat Classic meet in Aberdeen March 30 with five vaulters including Jase Voss who was the team’s top placer with sixth.Boys resultsPole vault: Voss 10’6.75” sixth, Gabriel Gaikowski 9’5” 11th.
