Webster Area girls basketball traveled to face the Wilmot Wolves Jan. 17 in a contest which the Bearcats would snap their two game losing streak.The Bearcats were able to secure the victory over Wilmot with a 59-48 score.

Webster Area girls wrestling team competed in tournaments in Miller Jan.10 and Harrisburg Jan. 17. In the tournaments the Bearcats placed sixth and 18th as a team.The Bearcats competed in the Miller/Highmore/ Harrold Girls Tournament Jan. 10 in Miller.

The Lennox Orioles handed the Groton Area Tigers girls basketball team their second loss of the season Jan. 11. The Tigers went 11-13, 18-23, 34-37 and the final score was 39-49.Groton hit 10 of 29 field goals for 34 percent shooting average. On three-pointers, they went six of 17 for 35 percent.
