Webster Tigerfish compete at Watertown swim meet

Groton Area track and field earns six medals at state

The Tigers made the trip to Sioux Falls for the SDHSAA Class A State Track & Field meet May29-31. They earned six topeight medals including a second place finish from their girls 4x400 relay team.Boys100 meter prelims: Keegan Tracy 11.57 18th.200 meter prelims: Tra-cy 23.08 15th.

Waubay/Summit Mustangs run at state track and field meet

Wa u b ay / S u m m i t track and field competed at the SDHSAA Class B State Track & Field meet in Sioux Falls May 29-31. Tigh Gaikowski was the team’s highest placing athlete finishing eighth and earing a medal in the 400 meters.Boys400 meter prelims: Tigh Gaikowski 51.74 eighth.

Sage Gaikowski represented Waubay/Summit at the two-day state tournament on June 2-3 at Prairie Winds golf course in Watertown.Gaikowski opened day one by shooting 91 followed by a 102 on day two to place 32nd.

Webster track and field competes for last time before state

For their last meet before state, Webster Area varsity track and field made the trip to Warner for the Dial-A-Move Last Chance meet May 23. Brooke Grajczyk was the Bearcat’s top finisher on the day grabbing first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.58.Boys110 meter hurdles: Jeron McCreary 17.

Waubay/Summit competed in the Region 1B golf tournament in Watertown at the Prairie Winds golf course May 22.Sage Gaikowski placed the highest for the Mustangs shooting 102 for seventh.For the boys Bryson Zirble shot 128 for 48th, Linken Niles shot 143 for 53rd and Dylan Rumpza shot 145 for 54th.

Webster golfer places first at regions tournament

Webster Area varsity golf made the trip to Watertown for the Region 1B golf tournament at the Prairie Winds golf course May 22.Blaize Amdahl lead the boys team, placing first by shooting 76. Seth Lesnar shot 81 for fourth, Thomas Kuecker shot 93 for 18th and Michael Dorsett shot 96 for 20th.
