Sophomore breaks Webster school’s long-standing pole vault record

After tying Webster High School’s 26-year-old girls pole vault record on May 9, Webster Area High School sophomore Kenley Grewe took only six more days to claim the record for herself breaking the long-standing 9’9” record height with a vault of 9’10” May 15.

According to a report from Webster track and field coach Bill Sawinsky Kenley Grewe tied the school record in the pole vault with a height of9’9” in the Al Sahli Invite May 9 at Swisher Field in Aberdeen.

Webster Area varsity golf came out swinging for the NEC golf tournament at the Lake Region course in Arlington May 9.Coach Tim Lesnar said the tournament was a strong showing from both Seth Lesnar and Mia Coester. “Seth came out strong and was hovering around par all day.
Lake Region Electric Assn. bowling team, from left, Austin Grimes, Jim Keller, Shawn Lesnar, Kevin Bohn and Ken Roerig, won the Wednesday night league championship by prevailing in a roll off with Pampered Paws and Decoy Bar.
