Webster hosts seasonal State Swim Meet

Webster team competed in the seasonal state meet July 25-26.BoysJackson Baumgarn,15-16, 200 free 2:10.66 first,500 free 6:06.49 first, 1000 free 13:07.51 first, 200 back2:30.16 first, 100 breast1:18.04 first, 200 breast2:51.41 first, 200 fly 2:49.18 first; mixed 13 and over, 50 back 32.17.

Webster VFW baseball wins region and advances to state tournament

Webster VFW Post 4690 Teeners took on Flandreau in a regional best of three series July 28 and 30 with the winner advancing to the state tournament in Volga.Game one was held in Flandreau July 28 and saw Webster take a narrow 15-14 victory.

Webster Legion baseball hits the end of their season

Following an opening round loss to Big Stone City, Webster Legion Post 40 played their second game of the double elimination South Dakota American Legion Region 1B tournament July 24 against Sisseton Post 50 in Sisseton.For a second time Webster fell short losing 0-2 which ended their season.

Roslyn baseball team wins last tournament of season

Roslyn Diamond Dawg baseball team ended their season on a high note, winning the 11U NIT End of Season tournament at Tharaldson Little League Complex in Fargo, ND July 26-27.The independent team is headed by coach Spencer Huggett with additional coaching from Tyler Lee, Jerry Lesnar and Mark Ermer.

Webster VFW Teeners make additions to roster

Webster VFW Post 4690 Teeners made the trip to Sisseton July 18 for a doubleheader against Sisseton Jr. Teeners. Since their last game coach Ian Lesnar reported they have added five players to the roster including Maverick Coester, Harrison Wagner, Cooper Lesnar, Bryson Bloom and John Coon.
