Webster Area Bearcats faced off against Great Plains Lutheran Panthers for their first home game of the season Aug. 28. This was a tough loss for Bearcats, with the team still suffering from a few injuries, many of the younger players had to step up to the plate.

Waubay/Summit Mustangs football team won their second game of the season against Florence/ Henry Falcons Aug. 28. Mustangs took the field and had their heads in the game. They took an early lead during the first quarter, scoring 10 points and preventing Falcons from scoring.

Webster Area Bearcats volleyball hosted their second game of the season against Deuel Aug. 27. Bearcats made this a quick game and won 3-0. During the first set, Bearcats started off strong and won 25-17.

Tigers take first loss of the season

Groton Area Tigers hosted the Beresford Watchdogs Aug. 28 and faced a hard loss. Both teams were neck and neck during the first half. Neither team scored during the first quarter, but started to pick up the pace during the second. Tigers were able to score seven points and Watchdogs scored six.

Webster Area Bearcats hosted their very first game of the volleyball season Aug. 25. Bearcats played against Great Plains Lutheran and were able to walk away from the first game with a solid victory. During the first set, Bearcats took an early lead and held onto it, ending the first set 25-19.

Tigers roar into season with a win

Groton Area Tigers traveled to Miller to face off against the Miller/ Highmore/Harrold football team Aug. 21. Tigers had a very good start to the game by scoring seven points in the first quarter and another in the second, leaving them with a score of 14-0 at the end of the first half.
