Webster Area traveled to Brookings June 1-2 to compete in the state golf tournament. The girls played at Edgebrook Golf Course and the boys played at Brookings Country Club.

Groton Area track and field traveled to Sioux Falls to compete in the state track meet May 28--30. The team had multiple top 10 finishes and competed all three days of the event.Boys results100 meters prelims: Keegen Tracy 11.09 sixth.100 meters finals: Keegen Tracy 11.26 fifth.
Webster’s Post 40 played against Claremont Honkers Post 262 June 2 and walked away with a six to two victory. Webster Legion Post has 40 played two games so far and it’s looking like the start of a good season. Their first game of the season was a home game against Redfield Clay Kiser Legion 180 May 26.

Webster Swim Team Tigerfish competed in the Watertown swim meet May 30-31. Webster’s results are as follows.Samantha Ermer, 15--16, 100 free 1:17.04 second;100 back 1:30.14 sixth; 100 breast 1:45.14 sixth; 200 IM 3:24.38 fourth.Portlyn Johnson, 13--14, 50 free 31.21 eighth; 100 back 1:27.

Webster Area track and field hosted the Webster Area invitational May 21. This was a good event for the Bearcats, with a few new meet records being set. The boys scored 91 points and finished second, losing to Britton-Hecla by two points. The girls scored 128.33 and finished first.
Webster Area Bearcat track and field athletes had their award ceremony May 21. For the girls Braelynn Breske recieved most valuable runner; Callie Shoemaker, most valuable thrower; Sarah Zubke, most valuable jumper; Emily Acree, most improved; Alyssa Zacher, hardest worker; Kenley Grewe, Ashley Charron Award. For the boys Henry Witt recieved most valuable runner; Jeron McCreary, most valuable jumper; Gage Baumgarn, most improved; Matthew Mount, most valuable thrower, hardest worker and the Mike Bartos Award
