Two Webster Area AAU wrestlers take top place at state meet

Webster Area AAU wrestlers wrestled March 20-21 at the State AAU Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls. Coach Curtis Huffman said that to make it to the podium, wrestlers needed to finish top eight. Webster had two state champions Lydia Williams/Goedert and Nowwa Williams/ Goedert.

Webster Area AAU wrestlers qualify for state tournament

Webster Area AAU wrestlers wrestled at the Region 4 tournament March 14 in Britton. Twelve wrestlers qualified for the state meet in Sioux Falls by placing in the top three of the 16 person bracket. Six wrestlers were Region champions.

Bearcats dominate, playoff run ends in SoDak 16

After a 22 year region playoff win drought Webster Area boys claimed their second playoff victory in one week March 6 with a dominant 78-55 win over Britton-Hecla Braves in front of an energetic home crowd in Webster to qualify for the SoDak 16.
