My recent face infection taught hard truths

I recently began to develop an infection. Not a bacterial, fungal or viral infection which requires intervention by a doctor.Rather, an infection of several white hairs in my facial region.

Webster Teeners win four games in a row

Webster Teeners are starting off the season strong with a 5-1 record only losing to Britton Lumberjacks 3-8 during the second game of the night June 1.Teeners hosted a double header against Lake Norden June 5 and walked away with one dominating victory and a close second game.

Tigerfish swimmer places third

Webster Tigerfish attended the Brookings Tropical Summer Splash High Point meet June 5. According to coach Gavin Sannes, only one swimmer attended this meet. Hunter Fellbaum was the proud representative from Webster and he competed in the boys seven to eight group.

Webster Post 40 have a rough start to the season

Webster Post 40 baseball had a rough few games the past week, but are keeping high hopes since it’s early in the season and the team is still getting warmed up. Post 40 traveled to Big Stone June 4 and competed in a double header, but the second game got rained out almost immediately.

Mustang golfer attends state

Waubay/Summit golfer Sage Gaikowski was the only athlete to represent the Mustangs at the state golf meet in Brookings June 1-2. Gaikowski has performed excellent this year and clearly earned her spot at state.
Webster Area track and field attended the state meet May 28-30 in Sioux Falls at Howard Wood Field. Matthew Mount takes his second attempt during the javelin throw. Mount got 168’ 4” on his first attempt, which was good enough to place first. On his second attempt he threw 176’ 9” which not only solidifed his first place, but was also a new state meet record. Bearcats track and field athlete breaks meet record

Webster Area traveled to Sioux Falls to compete in the state track and field meet May 28-30. Bearcats had a great time and placements at state. Matthew Mount was able to come home with third, seventh and first places in throwing events and even beat a state meet record in javelin.
