Webster football finishes first half of the season

Webster Area Bearcats traveled to Redfield to face off against Redfield Pheasants. This was another tough loss for the Bearcats, making them 0-4 for the season. Although a tough loss, Bearcats are learning and improving as the season goes on.The first quarter was very competitive for both teams.

Webster Area Bearcats traveled to Britton-Hecla to face off against the Britton- Hecla Braves Sept. 3. This was a good game for Bearcats and a long one as well.The first set started off rough for Bearcats as Braves took an early lead and held onto it.

Win streak grows for Mustangs football

Wa u b ay / S u m m i t Mustangs just added another win to their record after facing off against Redfield Pheasants Sept. 11. This was the first home game for Mustangs and they showed a dominant performance for it.Mustangs started out the first quarter strong and never let off the gas.

Bearcats football have a frustrating game

Webster Area Bearcats hosted Britton-Hecla Braves for their third football game of the season Sept. 5. This was a tough game for Bearcats, but it was good eye opener for the future games.Immediately Braves took the field and started to run circles around Bearcats.

Groton Area earns another home victory

Groton Area Tigers faced off against Flandreau Fliers for another home game Sept. 4. Tigers had another dominating performance and were able to pull ahead immediately. Tigers only gave up one fumble, but they were able to retrieve it and they suffered three penalties for a total loss of 20 yards.

Waubay/Summit Mustangs traveled to Redfield to compete in the Redfield Pheasant Invite Sept. 3. It was a hot day out, but Mustangs pushed through and managed to get some good times.“Our runners had some hot weather in Redfield but managed to finish their races under their goal times.

Webster Area Bearcats cross country traveled to Redfield to compete in the Redfield Pheasant Invite Sept. 3. It was a hot day for the runners, but they were able to push through and get a few top 20 placements.“This meet was brutal between the heat and the humidity.

Webster Area Bearcats particpated in the Milbank Breathe Easy for their first cross-country meet of the season. Bearcats were able to place fourth overall as a team. Webster Area Bearcats traveled to Whetstone Creek Golf Course to compete in the Milbank Breathe Easy Aug. 27.

Waubay Mustangs volleyball traveled to Frederick Area School to compete against Leola-Frederick for their first game of the season Aug. 27. Mustangs are starting off their season strong and so far have not lost a set during their two games.
