Waubay Special Olympics to Milbank to compete in the 2026 Northeast Area Athletics Track and Field Meet May 1. Three athletes competed and all of them participated in multiple events throughout the day.“They participated in various events and came home with high placings,” said Cindy Weyh.

Bearcat golfers had a rough meet, but are ready for the rest of the season

Webster Area Bearcat golfers went to Clear Lake Golf Club to participate in a quad event facing Deuel, Great Plains Lutheran and Clark/Willow Lake April 23. Seth Lesnar led the boys side, shooting a 74 and securing first. Bailee Ninke led the girls side shooting a 100 and placing third.

Webster Area track and field places first at Redfield Relays

Webster Area Bearcats track and field traveled to Redfield to compete in the Redfield Relays April 23. Many of the athletes helped score points for the teams total. These points allowed Webster Area to achieve a first place in team scores for both girls and boys.

Groton Area competed in the Orville Pfitzer Relays at Hugh Schilling Field in Britton April 21. Keegan Tracy had a good showing with a few top three placings and both the girls and boys had top three placings in the relay series.Boys results100 meters: K. Tracy 11.43 second, Lincoln Krause 11.
