Webster Area football closed out their season against Clark/Willow Lake Oct. 17 in Clark with a 0-50 loss to the highly ranked Cyclones.Due to a reported technical issue stats for the game were not available.

Groton runners place well in conference meet

Groton Area competed in the Northeast Conference cross country meet in Webster Oct. 9 on the Webster golf course and two Tigers came away with top three finishes with Jayden Schwan receiving second in the boys varsity 5k race in 17:44.

Webster Area Bearcats made the trip to Clear Lake Oct. 10 for a varsity football matchup against Deuel but couldn’t stop the Cardinals losing with a final score of 8-43.“I was very pleased with how we were able to move the ball and sustain drives offensively.

Two Webster Area runners qualify for state in last home meet of the season

Bearcats competed in the Northeast Conference meet in Webster Oct. 9 on the Webster golf course and came away with a fourth place finish for the boys varsity team in the 5k race with 84 points.Grady Wagner was the boys top placer with 18th in 20:20.39 followed by Jase Voss in 20.24.

Mustangs cross country had three runners compete in the SDHSAA Region IB meet in Webster Oct. 15 on the Webster golf course.In the girls junior varsity 4k Grey Christofferson finished with a time of 24:52.25 for 17th.On the boys side for the junior varsity 4k Carsyn Grebner led with a time of 19:01.
