Groton Area boys pounce opponents in basketball

Groton Area boys varsity basketball team traveled to Clear Lake Feb. 5 for a game with Deuel Cardinals and emerged with a commanding 55-24 win. Quarter scores for the game were 12-4, 32-14, 49-21 and 55-24.Tigers scored on 23 of 40 two-point attempts, two of 13 threes and three of seven free throws.

Webster Area girls compete in Aberdeen wrestling tournament

With their regional tournament on the horizon Webster Area girls attended the Girls Aberdeen Central Invitational Jan. 30 in Aberdeen and received 18th place among 27 schools with 18 team points and two of their four competing wrestlers placing.
