All Bearcat boys wrestlers reach podium in Parkston

Webster Area boys varsity wrestling team attended the Parkston Little B wrestling tournament Jan. 24 in Parkston and saw all four of their wrestlers podium placing ninth of 18 teams with 84 team points.126Tayten Kurkowski placed second with a record of 3-1 and scored 21.

Mustang girls return to their winning ways in basketball victory

Tiger girls basketball team win one, lose one

Groton Area girls varsity basketball team hosted Milbank Bulldogs Jan. 24 in Groton and took a 5445 victory. Quarter scores for the game were 9-12, 2423, 35-40 and 54-45.Tigers scored on 12 of their 27 two-point shots, seven of 24 attempts from deep and nine of 17 free throws.

Webster Area boys return from hiatus with large 20-point basketball victory over Coyotes

After seeing two games postponed due to weather Webster Area boys returned to the court Jan. 27 in Webster for a varsity basketball matchup with Waverly-South Shore Coyotes and pulled away from the pack with a 73-53 victory. Quarter scores for the game were 21-10, 34-32, 5643 and 73-53.
