Linn A. Wellman, age 80, of Willmar, Minnesota, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Visitation was held from 121p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson, Minnesota, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

Theresa Josephine “Trea” Schuring

Theresa Josephine “Trea” Schuring was born to Al and Marion Lynch at their home in Lily, South Dakota on March 2, 1929. She was the seventh of ten children. Her mother would call her “Treasie,” but her youngest brother called her “Trea,” the name she would be known by for the rest of her life.

Craig Hammitt, 65, died May 27, 2025 at his residence in Webster.Per his request there will be no services.Craig Hammitt was born Feb. 13, 1960 in Sioux Falls. In 1968, the family moved to Webster. He graduated from Webster High School in 1978.

Sylvia Marie (Lams) Jaspers passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at age 88.Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eden, SD. Visitation was held at the church on Thursday, May 29. Burial followed at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Eden.

Verna Knapp, 100, of Bristol and formerly of Waubay, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol.Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Waubay. Burial followed at Lakewood Cemetery, near Waubay.

Gwendolyn Biever, 92, died May 22, 2025.Funeral services were May 27 at Big Stone Tabor Church, Big Stone City with Pastor Sandra Marquardt officiating. Burial was at Milbank City Cemetery, Milbank.Gwendolyn “Gwen” Wein was born Aug. 20, 1932. She grew up on a farm near Butler and became a nurse.
