Geraldine Pesall

Geraldine Pesall, 89, Webster, died at Bethesda Home, Webster July 12, 2025.

Mass of Christian burial was July 19, 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Webster. Burial was at St. Otto’s Cemetery.

Visitation was July 18, 5-6:30 p.m., closing with a scriptural wake service at Fiksdal Funeral Service, Webster.

Geraldine Snaza was born Feb. 27, 1936, to Joseph and Victoria (Koziol) Snaza at the family farm near Grenville. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Grenville and attended parochial school there graduating in 1955. After high school, she worked as a waitress in Webster at Evan’s Cafe and Webster Cafe.

She married Gerald Pesall Jan. 19, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. They lived in Watertown for a couple years where she worked as a waitress at the Drake Motor Inn. In 1960, they moved to the Pesall family homestead and took over the farming operation. She worked weekends in the laundry department at Bethesda Home, Webster.

She enjoyed planning family get togethers and hosting at their farm. She was active in Christ the King Catholic Church, Webster altar society and taught catechism class at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lily. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, quilting, collecting trinkets such as strawberries and Santa Claus figurines. She served on the township election board for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Webster; daughter, Gwen and Kent Anderson, Watertown; son, Greg Pesall, Webster; three grandchildren; two brothers- in-law, Roger Pesall, Webster and Leon Pesall, Brookings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gail Pesall; son, Gary Pesall; siblings, Betty Kranz, Don Snaza, infants Rita and Joan Snaza and half-sister Dorothy Koziol.
