Attorney General Jackley announces Clark man indicted

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces a Clark man has been indicted on First-Degree Murder in the death of his mother.Bowen Fladland, 34, was indicted by a Clark County Grand Jury on July 16. The next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 21.

Webster’s Sanford Health location has new CEO

Ashley Ewing has been named CEO of the Sanford Health location in Webster.Originally from the Sioux Falls area, Ewing said she previously served as director of nursing and clinical services for 11 years at the same Sanford location in Webster before taking on the CEO role.

Editor’s Note: This is the first in a series about bees in Northeastern South Dakota.Webster hobbyist beekeeper and Clark Audiss said he received calls about seven bee swarms around town in Webster during the first week of July.

Webster Area School Board held their annual budget hearing July 14 during their regular meeting to review the budget for fiscal year 2026.For General Fund budget the board presented the figure of $5,044,494 an increase over $4,979,869 from last year.

Museum seeks additional funding for future projects
