Webster Area High School prepares for week of homecoming fun

Webster Area School is celebrating homecoming week Sept. 1519 with activities, athletic events, dress up days and a movie genre theme.Homecoming candidates for the boys are Tevin Howder, Gage Wik, Bryce Snell, Jack Shoemaker, Ari Sichmeller, Haeden Jorgenson, Jeron McCreary and Henry Witt.
A public fishing pier, pictured Sept. 10, in Waubay on Blue Dog Lake was constructed with habitat stamp funding by South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks and installed on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) land to make use of the property. Normally FEMA land cannot be built upon but because the pier is a non-permanent structure and will be rolled out of the water during winter, it is permitted. Reporter & Farmer | Leyton Beardslee
