Bearcat runners compete at state meet to finish cross country season

Webster Area cross country had two runners compete in the SDHSAA Class A State meet Oct. 25 to close out the season.Grady Wagner finished the boys 5k race in 116th place with a time of 20:18.41.

Waubay city’s controlled burn period ends Nov. 15

Waubay residents have until Nov. 15 to burn yard waste before the city prohibits controlled burns for the year. According to Waubay city ordinance, a permit is not required, but specific rules have to be followed.“We follow the state laws, but no permit is required.

Waubay community helps create beds for kids in need

Our Savior’s Lutheran youth group in Waubay hosted the last bed build of the year for Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s Sisseton chapter Oct. 25. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national non-profit dedicated to building beds for kids, age 3-17, who have no bed for their own.
