The wrestling golden era

Webster High School men’s athletic talent pool in 1977 and 1978 was incredibly deep. Deep enough to support both the major winter sports of wrestling and basketball at elite levels. In 1977 Webster won the state ‘B’ basketball championship and the wrestling squad finished second in the state.

California native moved to Roslyn with family and hasn’t looked back

When Scott Soto purchased a house in Roslyn as a vacation home four years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, he said he never expected to permanently move from his lifelong home of California to rural South Dakota but has now become attached to the Day County area.
