Waubay resident shares story of sobriety journey

Breaking a chain of alcohol addiction didn’t come easily but Waubay resident Courtney Gale Enfield said through the support of many people, her indigenous community and God, she has been sober since 2021.Growing up in Lakeville, MN Enfield said she joined the United States Navy at 22.

Day County Ambulance Service Director Melissa Sackreiter brought some ambulance updates to the Day County Commissioners meeting Dec. 16. She gave a list of names to the commissioners to clean up the roster that hasn’t been addressed since early 2025.“All I got is a roster clean up.

Mount retires as Webster mail carrier

Randy Mount is retiring from the Webster Post Office Dec. 26. Mount has almost 30 years of experience with the post office. He started in Aberdeen Post Office then transfered to the Webster Post Office and has been here for 28 years.
