Farmers had an average of 4.1 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending June 30, according to the USDA’s National Agriculture Statistics Service weekly crop progress and condition report. The report specifically covers the Northern Plains Region which includes northeastern South Dakota.

The official grand opening of the new Webster Dog Park took place June 27 with festival and vendor activites. Pictured here, doggos Gage, (owners Tyler and Leslie TenBensel) and Clutch (owner Mike Dallager), wrestle over a toy while Buck (also owned by the TenBensels), runs along side them. Pickeral Lake Conservancy purchases 80 acres of land

The Pickerel Lake Conservancy (PLC) announced the purchase of 80 acres of property on July 2.The property is located in the Chekapa Creek watershed and will be a preserved wetland and prairie to create significant protection for the water quality of Pickeral Lake according to the press release.
