Group behind day care center plan wants community input

Like with the pool, the baseball field, the playground and so many more projects in Webster, those behind the development of a described “critically needed” day care center in Webster are now gearing up to begin a capital campaign with plans of coming to the community for funding help and ideas.

Kari Nelson is the new director at Needs Anonymous in Webster. She was approved by the Needs board Jan. 14 to officially fill the part time position, although she has been helping fill in since late last summer when the former director retired. After an extensive search, Needs Anonymous has officially hired Kari Nelson as its new director.Nelson shared she applied for the position in November and received the news that she had been selected Jan. 14.

University of South Dakota released the fall semester dean’s list and academic honors. Max Duerre, Bristol was named to the dean’s list of full-time students receiving a 3.5 GPA. Madison Peckham, Bristol received academic honors as a part-time student with a 3.5 GPA.
