During the month of February, Day County Food Pantry provided food to 107 households totaling 2,920 pounds of goods. Food pantry coordinator Margaret Kwasniewski reported the pantry is in need of paper towels, tissues, along with canned baked and green beans.

Anderson’s awarded legacy makers of the year

Bob Grebel turned 83 March 2 and has dedicated his life towards education. He earned three master’s degrees in school administration, guidance counseling and special education. Grebel spent his career trying to stay away from the regular teaching methods and really focused on understanding students and helping them prepare for their futures. Passion and lifelong dedication to education

The older generation takes cares of the young and 83-year-old Bob Grebel is a prime example of the older generation caring for the youth. Grebel said he has a passion for education so he spent most of his life learning and teaching within his community.

Webster Area School Board holds two executive sessions

Webster Area School Board met in special session Feb. 20 and entered a four hour executive session for personnel after which no motions were made.The board then held a second special session Feb. 23 which lasted an hour and a half again with no motion being made afterwards.

Catholic Daughters

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Pius X 1827 met with rosary led by officers, Cindy Zenk presiding, flag pledge and singing of “Rock of Ages” led by Karen Jaskulka. Four officers, 11 members and one guest were present.

Passions will guide your path for life

Judy Robertson was born 1941 on Valentines Day in Ironton, Ohio. Robertson was the oldest of eleven kids and she said her family moved around to a few different places until finally having a more permanent home in Texas. Since a young age, Robertson stated she enjoyed dancing and talking to people.
