Ava Bjerke was named the first runner up Jan. 4 in Aberdeen at the Junior South Dakota Snow Queen pageant while Ayla Bloom took second place in the junior talent contest. That heartwarming smile a child gets when they see Mr. and Mrs. Claus makes the chaos of the season stop for only a minute. Mr and Mrs. Claus made a stop into Waubay Santa Day. This event was full of family fun with carnival games and bingo, all with prizes the children could win.
