As a part of their December 12 days of giving event which gives back 12 percent of profits to the community, Sioux Valley Coop donated $2,650 to the Day County Community Foundation. The check with the donation was handed to the foundation Feb. 19. Webster Senior Citizens met Dec. 2 with 11 members and one visitor for Christmas potluck followed by an afternoon of card playing. Card winners were Dennis DeWitt, pinochle; Marlys Clausen and Leo Gaikowski, whist. Next meeting is Feb. 3, 1 p.m. at Webster Golf Clubhouse for cards.

Burt and Barbara Andersh, Watertown and Ilene Stave were dinner guests of their daughter and granddaughter Brittany, Tony and Summer Valnes, Sisseton. They also attended worship at United Methodist Presbyterian Church, Browns, Valley, MN.
2025 Webster Area Farm and Home Show was at the Webster Armory Jan. 24-25. A dog demonstration by South Dakota Highway Patrol Jan. 24 displayed some skills the dogs use to locate the scents of narcotics. Webster Area School has released the second quarter honor roll for sixth-12th grades.4.
Webster Area Student Council members, front Barrett Bloom, fourth grade; back, from left, eighth graders Claire Halvorson, Sophia Wilson and Remi Hubsch presented a $1,000 check to playground committee members Vanessa Bloom, fifth grade teacher and Emily Wagner, second grade teacher. Losing a pet is always a difficult experience, especially when that pet is cherished by an entire community. In the heart of Webster, residents shared a special bond with a blue heeler named Toby who had become a familiar and beloved presence in the town. Toby passed away at the end of December.
