Authorities dismiss drowning rumors

Dual incidents at two local lakes earlier this month resulted in rumors of a drowning at a local lake but members of the Day County Sheriff’s Office say neither resulted in death.According to Day County Sheriff’s Deputy Garret Premus, both incidents happened at nearly 7 p.m. Sept.

Elias Robert Dulitz was born Aug. 24 in Watertown to Robert and Amanda Dulitz, rural Webster. He weighed 6 lbs. 9.4 oz. and was 19.25 inches long. Grandparents are David and Marilyn Dulitz, rural Webster; George and Janet Fanger, rural Onida.

County Line Kids County Line Kids 4-H Club met at South Dakota State Fairgrounds, Huron during the state fair Sept. 2. Adaline Larson called the meeting to order with six of nine members and one clover bud in attendance. Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H pledge were led by Isaac Ogren.

James Valley Threshing Show Sept. 6-8 hosted various antique agricultural equipment and other activities including an engine room, craft booths and a saw mill area in Andover. Starting on the left, Harris Billigmeier, Jeff Edin and Jane Larson are cutting lumber which would need to dry out.
