During the month of August Needs Anonymous provided food to 152 households totaling 3,502 pounds of goods. According to food pantry coordinator Margaret Kwasniewski the pantry is usually in need of canned goods with a long shelf life specifically vegetables and beans.

4-H CLUBS

Jolly Workers 4-H Club met July 29 at Day Co. Fairgrounds. Allie Case presided. Roll call topic was “Favorite thing at the fair.” Seventeen members were present. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Old business discussed includes steak supper tickets and fair entries.

Johnsons welcome baby boy

by Ilene StavePierPont (605) 325-3307Trevor and Hanna Johnson, Webster are parents of a boy Graham Marlyn born Aug. 11, 2025 at Prairie Lakes Hospital, Watertown. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Fosness receives appointment from governor to serve as Dist.1 Rep.

As reported in last week’s Marshall County Journal, Governor Larry Rhoden has appointed Britton resident Nick Fosness to serve in the South Dakota House of Representatives for District 1, effective immediately.
