New Sheriff Deputy sworn to serve

May 21, Kolby Weinburg was sworn in as a deputy sheriff in Day County, marking the beginning of a career rooted in service, community and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Webster Senior Citizens met July 7 at Webster Golf Clubhouse with eight members present. Myrene Gaikowski served lunch. Card winners were Marlys Clausen, whist and Helene Eisenbraun, pinochle. Next meeting is July 21, 1 p.m. Darlene Rumpca will serve lunch. Visitors welcome.

USDA reports 5.7 days suitable for fieldwork

According to the South Dakota crop report released by United States Department of Agriculture and National Agricultural Statistics Service for the week ending July 6 there were 5.7 days suitable for field work.

Valnes host guests at the lake with activities
