Webster Area Invite brings forth new personal records

The Webster Area track teams competed in the Webster Area Invite May 16 at Webster. Bearcat athletes controlled a majority of the events at the Invite, with many Webster athletes setting new personal records in a variety of different events.

Commemorative plaque at Webster track complex honors Pribyl’s legacy

Wally Pribyl passed from a seven-year battle with cancer in 2014, but his legacy continues to live on in Webster.

Bearcat golfers from both the boys and the girls teams competed in the region golf tournament held at Cattail Crossings in Watertown on Monday, May 20, with the top 15 athletes receiving medals for their scores.

Some nice weather was a change for the varsity Waubay/Summit Mustang tracksters May 10 as they competed at Webster.“We finally had a track meet where we didn’t need several layers of clothes on to keep warm,” said head coach Curtis Huffman.

Golfers bring home hardware from ECC tourney

Webster Area golfers took top spots at the ECC tournament held at the Cattail Crossing Golf Course in Watertown last week. In this pre-region tournament, the boys brought home the top spot while the girls were runners up.“I felt all of my golfers golfed extremely well and shot some personal bests.
