Bearcat cross country team seeks to run over the competition

Webster Area Bearcats cross country team’s season is gearing up for the 2024-25 school year. Beginning Sept. 3 at the Milbank invite the Bearcats will look to build upon the successes of last season and continue towards development.Webster Area Bearcats will have 10 total meet dates.

New policy may ease creation of football schedules

PIERRE – If the state’s high schools comply with some new policies, it may be easier for the South Dakota High School Activities Association to create football schedules.The policies were approved at the Aug. 1 meeting of the SDHSAA board of directors.

Central Zone championship meet

Central Zone championship swim meet was Aug.1-4 in West Fargo, ND. McKoy Pereboom, Webster qualified in six individual events and four relays. Individual results, all personal bests, were 800m free 9:36.2627th, 200m free 2:09.48 29th, 100m back 1:09.25 34th,400m free 4:37.55 33rd, 100m free 59.

Webster swimmers compete at State A swimming championship

South Dakota long course state A swimming championship was July19-21 in Rapid City.Webster swimmer Keisha Rencountre competed in the girls 9-10 category and placed13th. Her scores were 50 free 37.61 sixth, 100 free1:23.89 seventh, 200 free3:04.52 ninth, 400 free6:38.59 sixth, 50 breast55.
