Webster Legion baseball opens series with a shutout

Webster Legion Post 40 played against Clark in a doubleheader June 19 at Clark.The first game went 2-0 in favor of Webster who managed the two runs without a single hit.Coach Chad Hesla commented on the team’s performance saying, “It was a great effort by the whole team.

Webster Teeners hit walk-off singles in back to back games

Webster VFW 4690 Teeners played Claremont in Webster June 23 in a double-header.The first game was clinched by Webster with a 6-5 win featuring a walk-off single by Jase Schmidt in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Webster Area Bearcat Haeden Jorgenson, pictured, joined the 605 Grapplers to compete in the Summer Scuffle Wrestling tournament in Gardner, KS June 13-- 14. Jorgenson, in the 144 pound weight class, went 9-0 on the two-day tournament, including six pins and one tech fall. Webster Legion baseball tournament rained out

June 13 Webster Legion Post 40 took on the Rattlers representing Linton, Ashley and Wishek, ND at Bob Wiley Field in Webster. The game was supposed to be the first of three for a wood-bat tournament held June 13-15 but the rest of the tournament was canceled due to rain.
