Langford Area Lions varsity boys basketball team traveled to Huron Dec. 30 to take on Jones County Coyotes in the Huron Holiday Classic but fell narrowly 65-66.Lions scored 14 of their 31 shots from the field, nine of 28 three-pointers and 10 of 15 free throws.

Webster Area Bearcats boys varsity basketball team took on Groton Area Dec. 30 in Groton but with an 1843 halftime score were eventually defeated by the high powered Tigers 43-63.Bearcats made seven two-point shots, six threes and 11 of 19 free throws.
