Book warrants recommendation even before finishing

I am reading a book called Blood Meridian, written in 1985 by American author Cormac McCarthy. Before picking it up I had heard a good review about this book, mainly how hard it is to read and about how brutal it is. However, don’t let that dissuade you from reading.

SIOUX FALLS - South Dakota has more children in the foster system than families to care for them. On average, there were more than 1,000 children in the system in any given month last year but just over 800 foster families licensed statewide.
