Day County Recycling may change acceptable plastics

Day County Recycling representative Jen Moos spoke at a recycling meeting Aug. 11 to present changing where they currently recycle from Watertown to Brookings in order to maximize the variety of items they can recycle.

Carp herpes virus is suspect in recent carp die-off at Pickerel Lake

With a recent major die-off of carp in Pickerel Lake, a disease known as Koi herpes-virus (KHV) is the suspected culprit.
