New building additions coming to Waubay School

At the Nov. 11 Waubay School Board meeting Mayor Brienne Soldier asked about the new construction happening at the school. According to Superintendent Scott Lepke, the school started a new locker room project and will be replacing a lot of the old tiles in the current locker room.
Waubay resident Alex Jorgenson, pictured right, was hospitalized Oct. 15 after an accident involving explosives caused his left leg to be amputated around the knee and severely damaged his right leg. Melissa Jorgenson, his mom, pictured left, said the family has received an outpouring of support from the community including over $15,000 being raised to help cover medical costs. Community pulls together to support Waubay family following explosive accident
