SD Highway 25 closure planning for grading project

South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) plans to begin grading work on SD Hwy. 25 from SD Hwy. 20 north for approximately four miles starting April 21. According to a press release by SDDOT, The closure is anticipated to be in place until Aug. 1.

Junior Websterian Club met at Linda Fleeger’s. Sharon Johnson was co-hostess and gave a talk about the decade of the 1990s. Ten members were present and three guests. A donation was collected to give to PACH. Next meeting is May 11.
A fire hydrant on 12th Ave. and Main Street in Webster was hit due to bad weather conditions April 3 according to Webster Police Chief Craig Baumgarn. Webster police started an investigation April 13 and have found the person responsible. A hit and run charge was given and Baumgarn said he saw people possibly working on it April 15. Early voting for the June 2 election will be delayed

Early and absentee voting for the June 2 primary election will be delayed, several election officials in South Dakota said April 15.Early voting is supposed to begin April 17 but some county auditors across the state alerted the public this week of the delay.
