State Historical Society seeks public input on preservation needs

PIERRE – The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) of the South Dakota State Historical Society is preparing for its federal fiscal year 2025 grant application and invites public comment through Oct. 31 on the state’s preservation needs and projects.

Museum receives new funding for upcoming move

The Museum of Wildlife, Science and Industry is preparing to move artifacts from the courthouse museum to the new location on U.S. Hwy. 12. Previously, Monte Rougemont, representing the MWSI had asked for a contribution of $20,000 and an additional $15,000 from Day County Commissioners Aug.
Webster Senior Nutrition has moved operations to the former location of the Dakota Diner at 508 Main Street. On the left, Jami Hubsch has been working with Webster Senior Nutrition for five years. On the right, Susan Van-Patten has been helping feed locals for three years with Webster Senior Nutrition.
