Restoring faded memories: Volunteers labor to refurbish historical markers across state

‘Wild places are worth fighting for’, concern grows for receding South Dakota wetlands

EUREKA – John Cooper, 80 years old and with a new set of knees, still rises before the sun, dons waders, sets up decoys and tries to call in ducks.“I love waterfowl hunting,” he whispered, nestled into the cattails along the edge of a pond this fall.

PACH-ing up child hunger in Webster

Ending child hunger is a cause which everyone can agree upon. In Webster, PACH (Webster Area People Against Child Hunger) is an organization which packs meals, snacks and healthy food for Webster youth ranging from head-start to seniors in high school.

15 years ago December 21, 2009Aberdeen based Avera St. Luke’s” announced plans “to continue a medical relationship with Webster” by opening a new clinic early next year on east Hwy. 12 at the former Dollar Den. It will go by the name of Avera Clinic, Webster.
