Webster Area Soccer kicks off

As spring buds in Day County so does new soccer talent in Webster.Webster Area Soccer is a spring soccer league which kicked off their season May 1.

Earns degree

Webster Area High School 2016 graduate Dr. Caly Bornsen received a degee in veterinary medicine May 2 from Michigan State University. She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2020 and plans to return to South Dakota to practice.

Braun recognized

Webster Area High School senior Katie Braun was recognized as the top one percent of her senior class for academic achievements. Braun was recognized by Gov. Larry Rhoden and the Associated School Boards of South Dakota (ASBSD).

Scholarship recipient

Morgan Ostlie, Pierpont was awarded the $1,100 South Dakota Services for the Deaf Foundation scholarship. She plans to major in criminal psychology at Northern State University, Aberdeen.
