Webster VFW wins hosting responsibilities for summer baseball tourney

Webster and Roslyn were awarded the bid to host the baseball Class B 10U tournament July 18-20 at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex and at Roslyn Baseball Field. Chad Hesla said the opportunity for the city to host this tournament has the ability to bring new people and revenue to Webster.

Webster Area Development Corporation hosted a partner event at The Galley Feb. 24 with the intention of getting input from community members pertaining to Webster’s status of growth, development and hopes for the future of the city.

KOC fishing derby sees largest turnout in event’s history

Knights of Columbus hosted the eighth annual fishing derby and raffle Feb. 22 at Enemy Swim Lake. According to Craig Case, who helped facilitate the event, the event was the largest in its history with people coming from a variety of states to fish in the tournament.
